We’ve been so busy having fun here at Kol’s Notes that it’s easy to forget that this Blogathon is about so much more than just Zombies and Giveaways!

We are still taking donations on behalf of the Lucky Dog Rescue in Meridian, MS. This amazing rescue not only takes in the dogs society is ready to give up on, but she also somehow finds the time to share their stories and her story with us.
Lucky Dog is a private rescue that survives on public donations. Please give what you can to help them help dogs in need!
Now…it’s hour…21?? 22?? of the Blogpocalypse and we have seen some great posts and fabulous Giveaways from all over the interweb!

Check out our Best of the Blogpocalypse and get links to all the great Giveaways!

Over at Pawcurious, things have been getting catty – literally! Dr. V is camped out at the Lions, Tigers and Bears Sanctuary.  They got the big kitty’s high on cat nip and when Sitara the Tiger got the munchies, she considered a Dr. V snack! Yummy! Dr. V has also been giving away some fun stuff – you can enter to win:
My Blogpocalypse Partners in Crime over at My Brown Newfies shared some great stuff about the Columbus Zoo and the animals there. Despite the fact that they believe peeing on leaves is an effective Zombie barrier, they survived the Blogpocalypse. I can’t help but want a few of these Celebes Macaque even though that is exactly what they were blogging against. Since they’re a friend, I won’t do it, but I want to! (Bonus post: A Where the Wild Things Are Guest post from PupFan over at I Still Want More Puppies)Over at Riley and James, Dr. Shawn Finch and the Little Finches shared some adorable animals from the NE Human Society – included my own personal favourite – the promised 3 am Turtle post! This morning, they suspect their dogs might be zombies, since they are shambling around, lost and listless. What do you think? (Dr. Finch is also featured in one of my fav Kol’s Notes posts – Our Brains Dog Treat Recipe)

One of the great things about Blogpocalypse is that I met some bloggers I’d never read before – like The Wandering Duck Climbs A Mountain. I love her post about her dishwasher! I have a twisted love/hate relationship with her video post showing some adorable kitties rompin and playing! (Click the link and you’ll totally understand. ♫ It’s Friday, friday! ♪ Stuck in my head. Thanks a heap.)The Tech Teacher and her students at Cornerstone Christian provided hours on entertainment. What Would Your Kids Say is a hilarious look at how kids view their Moms and really, who doesn’t love pony pictures?

The Blogpocalypse featured some folks way more talented than me, like BZTAT who held a Blogpocalypse drawathon. Check out these amazing zombie pics of Okey and Dr. V. Not a zombie enthusiast (I’m pretty sure BZTAT thinks the rest of us are crazy), she also drew some awesome pieces that have nothing to do with zombies, including one of Sitara the Tiger! All of her drawathon drawings are up for auction, so if you see something you like, make her an offer she can’t refuse!

Toby and Michelle from My Tail Hurts from Wagging Some Much was the bravest of them all live-posting after-dark as she made Apple-Banana Pup Cakes. They are giving away a copy of DogTipper’s Barkonomics, so make sure you check it out!

I always love the health and wellness posts over at Dawg Business, but Jana really outdid herself asking Are Zombies Really the Biggest Threat to Your Dog’s Health? She shared posts on every day things that just might be a bigger issue than a zombie bite. Check it out for info on obesity, exercise, dental issues, dangerous treats,  vaccinations, and vet visits.

Here at Kol’s Notes, I hope we had a little fun. Our tongue in cheek look at the apocalypse and how to prepare is actually a great way to get your own Disaster Response in order. There are things you should have packed and ready to go – just in case. It might not be the Zombie Apocalypse, but Natural and Man Made disasters can be just as scary, so you’d best be prepared. We love to eat, so of course, there had to be some Zombie snacks – check out our Zombie Brains Dog Treats, Zombie Skin Chips Dog Treats and Zombie Chicken  Dog Beer, plus check out Meaty Bites for a tasty store bought treat.

We were lucky to have some amazing sponsors here at Kol’s Notes! Thank you so much to them for their help and support. We’re leaving the Giveaways (and our donation widget!) open until Midnight tonight, so make sure you enter them all! You can win:

and last, but certainly not least:

Just a reminder that there are free ways to enter every Giveaway, but that if there is something you LOVE you can make a donation to the Lucky Dog Rescue and snab some extra entries for yourself! (Suggested Minimum Donation of $2.00/extra entry)

We’re just under halfway to our goal! Can you help us get there?! PLEEEEEEEAAAAAASE!
