Kickin’ it with Koly
what we’ve been up to at Kol’s Notes this week

Life’s not fair! There are an awful lot of double standards at my house. How about yours?!
Is it just me or does it feel like Valentine’s day was a really long time ago? It was only last week and we shared two of our favourire recipes: Liver Whoopie Pie Dog Treats and Valentine Heart Chicken Dog Treats.
We started something new and we’re sharing our Confessions of a Raw Fed Dog. Are you a raw fed dog who would like to share a confession? e-mail us at kolchakpuggle (at) gmail (dot) com!
And most importantly, it was Felix’s Gotcha Day! That little fluffball has lived with the Mama for five years and she’s been super emotional about it. She keeps picking him up, squeezing him and saying “You’ve come a long way, Baby.” Gross out.
Where’s Koly?
things I woofed when I wasn’t here

We won a Shivie Award!!
Yeah, we can barely believe it! We won a Shivie for Perseverence. Want to find out why? Check out the history behind this prestigious award and find out who else won, then go read the story Kristine is referring to.

Over on our Facebook page, we’re hoping that someone can help 7 month old Tupac, a lab/pit mix.  This boy is in desparate need of a foster home in the Chicago area. Our friend Vicki has been able to help him get rescue and funding, all he needs is a foster home to give him that second chanve he so needs. Are you that special home?

We were featured in this month’s Blogpaws newsletter. OMD, so exiting! If you a blogger, you should definitely check out the Blogpaws community. There’s a ton of great info and some awesome people.

Over at Twitter, we’re wondering if we’re the only ones finding the new Blogger CAPATCHA a little aggressive? This morning it made me use an accent aigu in order to leave a comment on my sweetie, Silvie on 4‘s blog. Seriously, how many people even know how to make one of these é?
That Crazy Dog Lady (aka the Mama) pinned a BUNCH of cool stuff to our Pinterest Board. Personally, I find this humerus. (ba ha ha ha ha ha)
We’ve celebrated a whole month of our Pet Project with Lulu & Wally. I think the Mama captured some cute stuff this week, don’t you?
We’re cooking with Dogs over at Two Little Cavaliers! This week we made Peanut butter & banana bread that’s tasty for pups and their peeps! It’s pretty yummy.
Woofs from the Web
Woof worthy posts from all over the interwebs

We are soooooo behind on our blog reading! There’s 645 posts i our Google Reader. **sigh** We might never catch up eh? But here is what has caught my eye, so far!
Check out this must read post from Something Wagging. Did you take the quiz? How did you do? (And did you notice the reference to our own irrepressable puggle?)
Fearful Dogs gives us some paws for though on how we train our dogs. Before she knew better, the Mama had one visit with a dominance based trainer and she knew there must be a kinder, gentler way. This post does a great job explaining why that is so important.
Mama discovered a GREAT set of training posters about how NOT to approach a dog, reading doggy body language, and more. The artist creates these to raise money for SoCal Boston Terrier Rescue which we think is really cool!
Speaking of training, the yorkies at Small Tales have some great tips on how to train your human. the Mama is a work in progress, how about your human?
That’s it folks, what lovely links did you read this week that are totally woof worthy? Leave ‘em in the comments below and we’ll check them out!
This week’s woof is brought to you by Rescued Insanity. Have you ever seen a tornado on a leash? Great blog. Great dog.
Go check it out.
