Treat of the Week Giveaway: Nyima Bakery

0 Comments 02 April 2012

We make a whole lot of meaty treats at Casa de Kolchak.

I love a nice piece of jerky. Mama’s new Bison Bars rock my world. I love veggies too. Lean & Green Treats are fabulous and low calorie, but sometimes? Sometimes you’re craving a special treat.Sometimes you just want a cookie.

Apparently, I am one spoiled puggle. I have a kitchen slave Mama to make me cookies. Not all Mama have that kind of time and not all Mamas are kitchen friendly. Sometimes even my own Mama is lazy as woof and she doesn’t want to bake.

What’s a dog to do?

This year, we’ve made it our mission to sniff out the tastiest treats that you can buy and share them with you.

That’s how we found the Nyima Bakery.

Nyima Bakery came to be after owner Kim adopted her german shepherd, Nyima.

Looking at the packages of treats out on the market I wondered…can all these things I can’t pronounce be good for him & how can they sit on the shelf for so long – what in the world can be in these things!?  I wanted to create treats for dogs that not only they would love, but as “their person”, you would feel good feeding to them.”

Nyima Bakery was born – and some were some seriously tasty treats.

Made using organic, all-natural ingredients, these tasty treats are cookies you can feel go about giving. No corn. No soy. Wheat-free & Grain-free options. What’s not to love?

The dogs here at Casa de Kolchak were big fans.

Like big. I knew as soon as the mail came that it had to be something good. Instead of doing his “big dog” impersonation and trying to scare off the mail man, he put himself in a down, nose flattened against the package, just hoping that I would open it.

Seriously impressive stuff.

On the right, Wheat-free Peanut Butter Sammies

Can you even imagine how long it would take to make those little peanut butter sandwich cookies? Or to make those tiny, adorably shaped Itty Bitty Bites? Holy Woof! That’s dedication. It was almost a shame to eat them.

Almost. I got over that real fast and woofed a couple of sammies down.

Pure heaven! They were so good and I immediately turn my eyes on the Mama. “Please sir! I want some more.” To add to their “cool factor”, this great bakery donates 10% of every online order to animal rescue. This month’s featured rescue is PAWS in Lynwood, WA.

The Nyima Bakery treats definitely get the Kol’s Notes Paw Print of Approval.
