Kolchak and Felix at the Movies

Hello pups and welcome to Kolchak and Felix at the Movies.


I am your host, Kolchak and this is my sidekick Felix. Today, we have a surprise – us dogs actually got to GO TO THE MOVIES last night.How cool is that?


Usually, we only get to watch movies from the comfort of our own home, since theaters have this whacked out “no dogs allowed” policy. Um…my kibbles  are every bit as spendy as they next guy’s. I would spend a fortune at the snack bar. I would be a model guest! I would…shed all over the seats. Yeah, I guess I get why we’re not welcome. That’s why I was so surprised last night when Mama asked if we wanted to go to the movies with her and the Daddy.

I assumed that she had flipped her wig.


(You know, lost her woofing mind?) She packeso fetch.d the weirdest bag: pillows, blankets, snacks. She put on her jammies and then off we went! As we pulled into the parking lot it hit me.

We were at the Drive In Movies!

Over 400,000 drive in theaters have gone dark since the boom years. We feel incredibly lucky to have one of the few remaining drive ins practically in our back yard. We feel even luckier that the awesome folks who run the Twilight Drive In have opted to be dog-friendly.

Last night, we got to see the Avengers!


Um, totally woofing awesome, just in case you were wondering! Epic. But this isn’t about the movie, this is about me. It’s always about Kolchak. This is Kol’s Notes, not “Whatever You Want to Woof About” Notes. So yeah.

While they were waiting for the sun to go down, Mama and Daddy we’e talking about the Avengers and how cool they were and then Daddy asked the magic question.

If the dogs were in the Avengers, which Avenger would they be?!





Oh my woof! Mama was so excited! What a cool idea! Her and Daddy knew right away.

Woof yeah! Playboy Billionaire Philantropist? That is so fetch. Absolutely the obvious choice. I’ve got the good looks, the devil may care attitude, all the ladies be flockin’ to Koly.

Felix Doodle as Bruce Banner aka The Hulk

Having trouble seeing sweet little fluff as weapon of mass destruction? Daddy did at first too. He totally got how Felix was like Bruce Banner: quiet, smart as woof, sensitive, but the Hulk? How could little Felix ever be the Hulk?
Don’t ever get between that boy and a chewy.
 
If you’re stupid brave enough to do that (and trust me, I’m not) then you’ll get the see the Hulk come to life. Get between Felix and a chewy and it’s all, “FELIX SMASH!” The teeth come out the growl starts and just like that there’s a monster in front of you. You don’t even want to see what happens if you yell at my Mama. It’s like the Hulk on a rampage.
So tell us, which Avenger would your dog be?
