10 080 chances to get fit and have fun with my dog. 10 080 chances to work out. I never really realized just how much time I spent doing nothing. Waiting for the coffee to drip. Waiting for dinner to cook or the yard to get watered. Waiting for the computer to start or more often, staring at the screen waiting for inspiraton. I actually have a lot of time on my hands.I never really considered the extra time as “usable” for.
Turns out that K9 Kamp is the perfect way to sneak n those extra moments and make them worthwhile. This week, week we challenged ourselves to sneak in exercise, as often as we could just one minute at a time.
It all started Friday morning.
I put the coffee on and while I waited, I decided to do lunges. Don’t ever ask me to do that again. LOL, I’m only ft for one thing before that first cup of coffee: laying on my kitchen floor in a bundle of uncaffeinated nerves and crankiness. I’m not a peach before that morning cup. I knew immediately that if this was going to work, I was going to have to make all the minutes later in the day count!
Getting it.
I think this might have been Koly’s favourite challenge so far. He love love loves to play, but the unexpected games of tug or getting chased up the stairs really got him excited. His favourite (LOL, and my least favourite was abs day. I threw the ball, then dd st ups while waited for him to bring it back. Ouch!
No more monkey’s jumping on the bed.
My mom will be totally outraged when she reads this, but the most fun we had was jumping on the bed in our spare room. It doesn’t have a frame on it right now, just a box spring and a mattress, so I used it like an aerobic step. Kolchak had a ton of fun jumping up onto the bed and back off the bed, as waved a rope toy at him in a rousing game of keep away. This was the most fun we had all weekend and it’s likely to become a staple at Casa de Kolchak. The spare room bed will never be the same again!
