It would be kind of an understatement to say that I am excited for the new animated Tim Burton Disney movie, Frankenweenie.
I’m a huge Tim Burton fan. HUGE. The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favourite movies ever. I have all the collectible figurines, the classic version DVD, the collector version DVD and the 3D BluRay. I’m planning an entire trip to Disneyland this Halloween, just because I heard they turn the Haunted Mansion into Halloweentown and I might get to have my picture taken with Jack Skellington. I’m that big a fan.
So you can imagine that I lost my woofing mind, when I found out Disney and Tim Burton were teaming up to make the Frankenweenie short into a full length animated film.
You guys, I squealed. Loud and then I called a friend who knew would be just as excited. Then I watched the short three times, just to get in the spirit…while squealing some more. I am so excited.
For those who don’t know, Frankenweenie is the story of young Victor, a boy who brings his dog , Sparky, back from the dead with somewhat questionable results. It’s such a fun twist on a classic story and you just know it’s going to be awesome.
I love stop motion animation and I’m excited as woof that I will actually be in Anaheim during the Art of Frankenweenie Exhibition. I can barely contain myself.
I’m counting the days until I can see the movie.
Until then, I’m making do with my own little Frankenpuggle…who is pretty tired of me trying to glue bolts to the side of his head and just looks at me like I’m the crazy one when I call him Sparky.
Is it October 5th yet???
Kol’s Note: the Mama worked hard as woof to make this Frankenpuggle picture of me in Gimp. She had to figure out how to make the spotlight and find clip art bolt and everything. Took her a bajillion hours… then she realized: There’s App for that. Dog darn it! Head over to the Disney website and Frankenweenie-fy YOUR pet! (I hope you’ll share the pictures with us! Send ‘em to kolchakpuggle@gmail.com or post them on our Facebook wall!)
