This applies to all the human stuff I make and the dog stuff too. Pumpkin is one of our favourite ingredients here at Casa de Kolchak. It’s a great low calorie source of fibre, which means it can help your dog feel full without packing on a ton of calories. When I use it in treats, I don’t mind using a bit of peanut butter or carob to punch up the flavour. Peanuts are a little high in calories, pumpkin is a little low, it all balances out! It’s also our go – to item when one of the dogs has a bit of an upset tummy, since it can help “smooth things out”.
