Gifts in the exchange don’t come in boxes and they’re not wrapped with bows. You can’t buy them at the mall and you can’t order from Amazon.

These gifts are gifts of the heart. A little seasonal display of love and admiration for our fellow writers. You may not know this, but blogging is a tough gig. The hours can be long, the pay is often in the form of dog treats and while it’s oh so worth it, sometimes a kind word from the wonderful people who take the time to read our blogs or from our fellow bloggers can make all the difference. You may never know just how much your words of kindness mean to your favourite bloggers.

This year, I was delighted to be paired with one of my very favourite bloggers: Mrs. Taleteller from Tales and Tails.

If you’re not familiar with this blog you’re missing out. Focused on the life and antics of two greyhounds, Bunny and Flattery, and two German Shepherds, Morgan and Kuster, the tales of this blog are told with such a flair for story telling that you can’t helped but be drawn in. Even ordinary outings seem like an adventure when Bunny is the one doing the telling. As if the genuinely delightful writing wasn’t enough, Mrs. Taleteller is a gifted photographer blessed with an amazingly patient group of canine models. Her photos leap off the screen and seem to capture every nuance of her dog’s personalities.

As soon as I knew I had drawn her name, I knew exactly what I wanted to do: make a photo book of her beautiful photos and share just a few of the many, many reasons that people love Tales and Tails.

This book has a labour of love and friendship. We hope you like it, Mrs. Taleteller.

Click on the preview button below to see the full book. I recommend viewing it in full screen mode or the type is really hard to read. If the preview is being grinchy and does not appear below, CLICK HERE to be magically whisked to a place where things work.

(I know it says you can order a copy, but if you’re even CONSIDERING paying my exhorbitent price, see the footnote at the bottom first.)

What do you love about Tales and Tails?

Please, help us wish Mrs. Taleteller a very, very Merry Christmas by leaving a comment telling us something you love about her blog, your favourite photo that she shared this year or a post that particularly touched your heart.

Kol’s Note: Since I technically STOLE these photos from Mrs. Taleteller I have absolutely NO legal right to sell this book and I truly hope no one is crazy enough to pay that nutty price I put on it. All of the images were pulled from Tails and Tales and ARE NOT PRINT QUALITY. A print copy of this book would be nothing more than a blurry mess. DO NOT BUY ONE. JUST DON’T DO IT, YO.

I could only view half of it, but it was lovely. Her pictures are gorgeous, and make me strive to take better pictures of my gang!

Now I was able to see part of it, great job and idea! Didn't buy one, a bit too pricey ;)

What an incredibly thoughtful, generous gift! A true labor of love! And I'm even more excited because I wasn't familiar with her blog, and now I can't wait to add it to my reader!

I only got to see half of it as well (will try again later) but what a lovely idea and an amazing gift! Of course, you had a lovely and amazing blog to work with! I agree with Alfie... If I was Mrs. Taleteller, I'd upload the high rez pics and print that puppy!
