Carob Candy Dog Treats

Carob Candy Dog Treats

This weekend, Heather from OK Collars got up to some tasty shenanigans.

Inspired by the peanut butter and carob coating used on our Peanut Butter & Pumpkin Spice Dog Treat recipe and as the filling in these Peanut Butter & Carob Sandwich cookies, she decided to make dog friendly candy!

I’m totally in love with any treat project that is quick, easy and tasty. This mix of carob and peanut butter is guaranteed to drive your dog wild (watch it though! These treats can be high calorie and should be shaved for super special occasions – not every day.)

These tasty treats make an adorable cupcake topper or a cute gift to give your dog friends for Trick or Treat – and, you can make them for any season, simply by choosing a different design in your chocolate molds.

STEP ONE: Measure the ingredients.

I'm not a huge fan of the bitter carob aftertaste, though the peanut butter does smooth that out a bit! They dogs are WILD over them though -> and they're great for melting back down later, when you need just a little to drizzle over fresh treats!

These sound delicious. I may have to try them too if I make them for my pups.
