Confession: I don’t have a cat, so it may seem a little odd that I’m celebrating National Black Cat Day
I have a black dog named Felix and he’s really lazy, so that’s kind of, almost the same thing, right? The fact is, black cats need a bit more love than the average cat. They’ve got a bad rap. Some jerk once said they were bad luck and it seems like it stuck. Add that to the fact that black pets, cat or dog, are super hard to photograph and that means black cats have the deck stacked against them.
So, today, we celebrate with tasty, crafty, fun ways to show some love on National Black Cat Day.
I love these epicly adorable paper black cats and the awesome folks at Parents.com have made it as EASY as possible with a free downloadable template.

no seriously. go do it.
(Shhhhhh! They’ll never know these fish chews started as DOG treats)
Just use kitchen shears to trim the jerky into bite sized treats and voila! Dehydrated fish treats for cats.

Ignore the creepy mannequin head and just focus on how darn cute the scarf is.
