I was chatting with Maggie at Oh My Dog! blog the other day about books.
We’re both avid readers. Books are a frequent discussion and I always enjoy our chats. However, last week was the exception. Last week, the conversation was a little LESS enjoyable than usual, as I discovered that I am a monster.
Frankly, I’m surprised that Maggie is staying friends with me. This was her face when I revealed something I do as a reader.
You guys, I dog-ear my books.
Sorry, not sorry. There’s something I find extremely satisfying about looking at a book that has been so clearly well loved it looks like a hot mess. Dogeared pages. Food stains. Creases on the spines. I am here to WRECK my books and live amongst them like old friends.
Maggie is “bookmark people”.
I don’t understand bookmark people. HOW DI YOU KEEP IT FROM FALLING OUT? To me, putting a bookmark in my book is basically me saying “I actually don’t want to know where I left off in this book.”

Still, the idea of one of my closest friends thinking I’m a neandrathal stung, so I was like “whatever. I’ll make myself a bookmark”.
And frankly, they did turn out super cute. I kind of love them. I’ll be sad when I inevitably lose them all.
Just as important as how adorable they are, these DIY bookmarks are easy as heck to make. Seriously. After I realized that this took so little time to make, I decided to turn them into a free printable bookmark file, so you can make them too!
Glue in place.
That’s all folks. I can’t even make it sound hard or complicated.
You can do it. The kids can do it Literally anyone can do it. You got this. I believe in you.
