Today is the big day. A day for lovers. A day for showing the ones you care about just how much they mean to you.
I don’t have a special girl myself. I prefer to spread myself around. Don’t get attached. I’m Living La Vida Loca, don’t cha know! The only special lady in my life is Mommy.
Coincidentally, Mommy is the special lady in Daddy’s life too. I slipped him this recipe and suggested he make some for Mommy to tell her how much he cares. He seemed skeptical but really, NOTHING, I mean NOTHING says Happy Valentines Day like a batch of Love Ya Liver Brownies!
*12 ounces raw liver
*1 cup + 1/8 cup Kolchak’s Favourite Flour Mix
*2 cloves minced garlic*
*Olive oil
Preheat oven to 350F.
Grease a 9″ x 13″ cake pake or special heart molds with olive oil and coat with flour, paying special attention to the sides.
These heart shaped mini cupcake molds are PERFECT to make bite sized adorable liver brownies! |
Chop liver into chunks and place in food processor. Puree liver until it is smooth. In a mixing bowl, combine liver puree, flour, and garlic. Mix thoroughly by hand and pour into cake pan or cupcake mold.
Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let sit for 10 minutes. Use a spatula to pull the sides of the brownie away from the pan and make sure the bottom is not stuck. Turn over pan gently onto a cutting board, and let brownies cool. When cooled, cut into chunks, if required.
*I know that some paws believe that garlic is not good for us pups, as it is a distant cousin to garlic. after doing a lot of research , we believe that that small amounts used in treats or in therapeutic doses are not harmful.
Store in refrigerator. Freeze any brownies you can not use in 5 days.
What are your plans for Valentines Day?
